Growing Outdoor Strains Indoors
In general, what should be done differently to grow outdoor strains indoors in a small space, say 4' wide x 3' deep x 5' tall?
I'm nearing the end of my first moderately successful closet grow with one known indoor strain (supposedly Northern Lights). The other, unknown.
Meanwhile, I had Holland's Hope seeds delivered by mistake. Instead of raising a fuss, I figure I'd try to grow them at some point.
Thanks for any insight or personal experiences growing...or using...Hollands Hope,

i grow a nirvana new purple power indoors and im pretty sure it was an outdoor. but it grew really tall about 5-6' and just wouldnt stop. seemed like no matter how close the light was it would stretch. i dont thikn it really stopped till like the 7th week of flowering. got a total dry weight of like 200 grams dry weight. but it started out on a 60 watt houselight, to a 150 watt MH to a 300 watt HPS. stalk got no thicker than a sharpie marker but that was my fault. :/
it was just me and my setup.. but im gunna say flower pretty early and they will triple their height no prob. (again i dont know if this applies to all strains and whether it was indoor/outdoor)

Thank you, iamhigh...I'll expect tall and stretchy plants as one side effect of trying outdoor strains in a closet and try switching out bulbs and light cycles earlier...what say when the plants are 10 - 12" tall?
In my current crop, I switched out bulbs and light cycles when the plants were 15 - 18" tall. Now with pistil withering underway, my tallest NL is about 38" and they've all stopped vertical growth.
I've noticed that wide internode gaps aren't necessarily bad. Placed 12 - 15" above and a little off to the side, my 400 watt hps reaches most of the stretchy plant yielding many smaller well-shaped conical buds whereas it penetrates only the top third of the compact plants.
Thanks again.
