how can U tell what seeds are which?

I have thousands of seeds from smoke I bought and grow my plants from these...I cant afford to buy seeds...can anyone tell me how to tell or can I tell what kinds they are? People talk of ones called white widow, or purple haze...mine all look similar.. I have been able to grow some awesome weed from them, but would like to be able to pick certain strains if possible. They are all kept together in an old cigar tube. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I know this doesn't tell you much boss, but from what I understand, the only way to know what kind of seeds you have short of genetic testing, is to grow them to maturity.

i agree seeds all look the same maybe with difrent marking or whateva
if ya want more advanced strains look at a seed bank

even growing to maturity isnt going to show you much of anything ... growers can tell the difference between indicas and sativas, but thats about it ... not likely to discern hybrids and crosses ... only way to know what you have is to buy seed packs from reputable breeders, and even then, youre relying on his honesty and record-keeping accuracy ... :smokin:
