has anyone ever tryied it? i was told soething like 5 watts per light that produces about a cuple thousand lumuns. i figured on 2 lights for 9 plants. will this be enoghf ligthing for veg and flowering. i was also told the bulbs would last 10 years. has anyone ever tried this new method? looks like it would be cheaper in the long run.
i have heard that the bulbs are well expensive too

I'm not sure who you have been talking to but I would say either ask for visual proof or go with a proven source of growing. But what do I know you may find another light source that plants will accept. You don't have to prove anything to me just the ladies your trying to harvest. Good luck.

it cost about 200 per bar and it puts out about put in the plants spectrem thats about 15,000 lumuns per bar. i was told it used 6 watts of electricity and the bulb lasts 10 years. the guy that was selling it to me said you would make your money back in the first year becuase of the saveing on electrictiy. he said it dosen't get hot eather. plants can be eaigher touching or real close i dont remember whitch one. Is it worth it to buy the 1 or 2 LED bar for 9 plants or use the traditional equipment?

yea.. I got 2 60-LED Flood Lights comin in the mail in a few weeks.. I was gonna get 48 but because of some supposed malfunction, they're givin me this other one in a few weeks, after i've been waitin 2-3 already.. I wanted to use them for my flowering, but thats apparently out of the picture
Please keep us informed as you move forward with these LED lights. I am not one to grow on the cheap, but until I see the business community(bottom line people) use LEDs, I will be skeptical. I would love to find out what I read about about this technolgy to be true, but call me a skeptic as of today

I pesonly think LEDS are useless, but thats only because i havnt actually ever seen a fully matured cannabis plant grown with them.
If someone can find a piccy of one then i'd change my whole opinion on LED lighting for cannabis...
But if money is no issue then get a HPS... You get a hell of alot of more bud from it, and more potent too ..
