joint burning

Last night I was smoking a joint...the cherry (lit part) just got bigger and bigger, till it was about the size of the whole joint. The smoke was extremely hot and harsh. And sometimes when I light a joint the cherry will just crawl up one side of the joint...why does that happen? Did I light it wrong, roll it wrong, grind the weed up too much? Maybe it's because my stash is relatively dry right now... Incidentally I was disappointed and thought it hadn't worked too well and that I had wasted my weed, but...I got very, very high. Maybe it was that thick smoke.

You probably rolled a little more loosely than you should have.

The joint was probably rolled loosely, the weed probably was not even (can cause the loose side with no weed on it to burn faster and thats what causes it to burn a line in the joint). Try rolling a perfect, even one and you shouldnt have this problem. Also moisten the whole joint (extremely lightly) with your tounge before you light it next time.

after its rolled up, put it into a folded dollar bill and roll it back and forth to tighten it up

Moistening the joint is one thing I have started to do recently. It burns a lot slower. Can't see me doing this in company though will probably use water.

How exactly does that work? i've heard it mentioned before on here but i've never tried it myself.

your joint will be side burning cause eitehr its too loosely rolled or badly rolled or just too much paper...if its to much paper try rolling it backwards

Either weed to loose or to dry.Try moistening the joint first.Will defanatly burn slower.

i do it with my friends, and no one seems to mind. you're all gonna be puttin the joint in your mouths anyway

I would teach you how to role a ruthless joint, I see the J's americans make aswell whats up with that????? there all fucked up. My joints dont have a single crease on them and look fucking amazing.
