so i got caught....

aight...i got caught just this past week....

let me explain:

its me and my other 2 cousins that toke at one of their houses. on sunday they both got caught. now apparently his dad knew all along that we toke..but he expected us to just realize how "bad" it is, and just stop. well we didn't and they found his stash. his dad talked to both of them but ME, because i haven't gone to his house yet..haha...but eventually he WILL talk to me, and i'm trying to talk to him and put out the facts that its not really that bad...Because he told his son and my other cuz that when they get of age, they can drink, but DRUGS are out of the question. Now when he talks to me, i wanna put the facts out there and kind of let him know of the truth and all that....


here is the problem....what do i say?....cause some of it i already know what to say, how it really doesn't effect me, how my grades are still the same, and how I've been the same person no matter if i smoke or dont and all that....but thats NOT CONVINCING....wat else should I say??...

any help would be appreciaited

Being caught like that involves being embarrassed for a few minutes and then getting over it. Sometimes you just have to push your pride aside and face reality. Sometimes you also have to do what you have to do to do what you want to do. It's a fine line to walk but it can be done.

i d k....im lost....im just trying to say that its aight to toke, but only if we do it in house...cause hes lenient and open minded like that....but i dont know how to bring it to him

You didn't read all of it, did you? The link is about why it's illegal in the first place, and how it's not really a bad thing. I'm not trying to criticize, but I think the information in there is very helpful in making a point, and you should thouroughly re-read it before deciding that it isn't helpful.

I, myself, would also point him to the NORML website, norml.com, as this is another plethora of useful information.

Sorry if I sound condescending in the first paragraph, but I think half of the battle is discrediting many of the myths that surround marijuana.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

How old are you? If you're too young I'm affraid whatever you say no matter how valid it is, he won't care. It's not fair, but older people just don't listen to kids (kids being 0 - 20ish), but that's life for you. Not fair. Just tell him the truth. what's the worst that could happen?

im 20...i do plan on telling him everything, and he will ask me to not do it again and all that....but since i know that its not that bad, i'd want to do it again,,,,and explain to him how its not that bad...and im the kind that if I give him my word that I will NEVER toke again...I WONT do it ever again...I love him that much i guess...i d k

IMO as long as you do it moderation, its OK. Hell, if you want to shoot up heroin be my guest, but please dont become a junkie for the rest of your life.

well dont give him your word then. learn the facts from the websites that have been given. No ones gonna write a speech for you, do some research.

im not asking for anyone to write me a speech...and Im sorry if thats how I came across...i just wanted some help, on what type fo things i should bring up....cause im sure some people got caught by their parents and tried explaining themselves

and yea, i am doing some reading...im looking at that norml website...i'll prolly go to his house tomorrow and just talk to him....thnx guys!
