Does weed make you cough?

Me and my friend both smoke between 1 and 2 oz a month. He's always coughing and hacking things up even when not smoking, but I only cough ocassionally while I'm smoking and almost never otherwise. Just curious...does weed give you a "permanent" cough?

For some people it does

I cough occasionally when I take a big rip
or if I am smokin some resin
but rarely cough otherwise

of course if its strong weed it should make you cough doesnt matter how long you've been smoking it

Take a huge hit then yea. No different than taking in too much smoke from a campfire. Smoke will make ya cough if you have too much. But some do get used to it and stop coughing after a while. Me, I still cough if it's too much but it'll take a lot more than what it took before.

Only made me cough the first time, after that essentially no coughing.

If I catch my smoke (usually has to be alot for me to do it right) I do cough but sometimes I can stop my self from coughing. Also I used to cough when I wasnt smoking when I first started but that doesnt happen anymore for some reason.

I rarely inhale enough to cough. Only when i think the bowl is cashed and I take too big of a draw. I also cough all day long. I also smoke over 2 packs a day on average, so I'm sure that has something to do with it.

I think it depends on how long you bee smoking it for. Anybody can't deny it that when they started they coughed, but if they have done it for a year or more most likely only on huge rips.
