250w hid be ok?

I'm growing 8 plants in my closet, about halfof them are drying right now. Not sure why, but I was thinking about getting a high pressure sodium light. Right now I have 4 42w cf's. It gets up to 83 degrees in there still. How much heat would a 250w hps put out, and would it be enough to grow my plants succesfully? Also, are the son agro lights really worht it?

Son agro are wide spectrum, so YES they are better. You can only do a 2x2 area with a 250watt HPS. I have one 400 watt HPS in the closet. In the summertime, heat is a factor! I have a 230 CFM exhaust fan sucking the heat out of the lamp blowing it into the attic. Stays about 90 degrees in there with that set up! So my suggestion is to use a forced vented hood with ur set up. :)
