i think it work to grow weed in the same pot as bamboo and sort of inter-twine the two and be growing what looks like an innocent bamboo plant I was think about doing this out side where our bamboo grows. they do look very similar, a green japanese maples looks a lot like weed leaves! so much that it might actually raise suspicion if someone doesnt know what a japanese maple is , go ahead google image japanese maple you know you want to

I have walked through bamboo patches that are 20 feet tall if they were spaced out or short it would be good cover no doubt. 3 to 4 foot fern varietys are good to. The bamboo grows in Maryland but I have not seen it north of that.

but what will you do about the smell?
true that sheist. i dont know how this would work but they sell sulpher stink bomb. If you could mix that in like a gel that would not dry out and put it by the plants not only would you not have to worry about curious noses but it may keep curious eyes at a safe distance as well. Not many people are like lets go find the source of that nasty smell.
