steamrollers? sry if i sound like a noob

hey, a bit of confusion here:

first of all, what the fuck is a steamroller?
what is the point?
how do you hit it?
is it just a sieways bong w/o water or what?

im so confused, im pissin in the sink and washin my hands in teh dogbowl! lol help please!

actually it isnt like a bong at all

its a straight tube with a bowl sticking into it and you hit it like you would any other peice

to simplify what everyone else said ... its a tube (glass or plastic) with a bowl right in the middle and the rush it at the very end. You suck from the front and cover the hole in the back with your hand. Just packa bowl and toke like any other piece.

here's my steam roller.

an easy way to smoke out of a steamroller is to make a doobie tubie

basically:
poke a small hole in a paper towel roll
roll a joint
shove the end of the joint into the hole
cover one end with your hand
light the joint
enjoy

They original Steamroller was created under that brand name in the "70"s. It was made out of glass with a glass bowl a little bigger than a hash pipes bowl. Very smooth hit and really fucked ya up! Only bad thing was as it got a little older, when the bowl got too hot it would break off the body.
