Sativa's tripper.
Indica - Laid back, couch lock, stoney type of high (My personal favorite), while a pure Sativa is a more up and energetic type of high.
I've had both, none were significantly different to me but thats just me. Its all THC, if I recall correctly one is just more potent.
It's not all just THC. That's just ONE cannabinoid.Quote:

I'm not sure which specific cannabinoids have which specific effects ... though that would be awesome to know. There are different concentrations and proportions of them all in different strains though, which accounts for the sometimes vastly different effects. That's also why marinol is no fun. Some of the cannabinoids are more psychoactive, and some are felt more in the body. Indica tends to have higher concentrations of those bodily ones, whereas the psychoactive ones are more in Sativas. If I'm wrong anywhere on this, somebody correct me, cause I don't like to spout off lies, but this is what I've come to understand over the years.
^^^That is basically what I've heard, and also my personal observation. I dought much research has been done on the subjective affects of various cannabinoids, given the legal status of pot.
I want to know what the differance in smells and other things you can use to distinguish between. I read that sativa has almost a fruit smell to it and indica smells like well weed. Is this true?
I've heard that sativa's tend to be lighter tints of green and indicas darker shades. That's generally been the case in my experience, although off the top of my head I can recall one strain, 'afghan black' that is quite dark but makes for a pretty heady high. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I've smoked light-green grass that made for a heavy-body high too, so...
So yeah, I'm sure there are at least a few exceptions to that 'rule.'
