how do i get purple plants to give purple buds indoors with:confused: out cold
Yeah i have the same problem but its growing outdoors. If it's grown hot will it not turn purple? Can i freeze it at the end of flowering or something to make it purple.
True purple strains will have purple calyx's.And about 50% of them turn purple. So if your growing a true purple strain just be patient or bring the temp down.I don't know of any other way.Besides just because it's purple doesn't mean it's better.Sure it looks cool but all bud turns black when yu burn it.
Purple has aesthetic value.
The red or purple color is a sign of severe temperature differances. Some strains have it more than others.
But ther eare purple strains though, that are naturally purple. No matter the temp.
And I agreee it is really pretty to see those purple Highlights. It makes it look more poyent or something.I guess I'm just spoiled.
I remember somebody posting here, a couple of months ago, about using food coloring.
Try a search on that.
The bud doesn't produce the color, you "insert" it there with the food coloring, but if you're selling for $, I'm sure the WOW!-factor is better.
food coloring? No thanks man I'll jst grow some purple thats already purple...
food coloring...one of the worst idea's ever!
