they say for every foot tall you need a gallon
like threefoot plants /3 gallon container.
youll no rootbound cuz the plant will stop growing and you can see roots coming out of drainage holes.
5 gallon containers work good for all purpose.
if your going with soil use lots of perlite.lots of perlite is the key to happy roots
when i transplant is that ok if some of the root show
when you take the root ball out of the first container
your gonna see roots on the side and growing downwards.
when you transplant to a bigger pot there should be lots of room for roots to move around.they grow so fast
