The worst part of it in my opinion is this:
"Proposed amendments to the law to create exceptions to specifically protect the health of the mother, or in cases of rape or incest, were voted down. Also defeated was an amendment to put the proposal in the hands of voters."
Goddamn republicans.
That's pretty damn extreme, but then conservatives in American have been pushing pretty hard since Bush got into power. I know in Iowa (I think it was Iowa) they just made a law so if any woman wants an abortion they have to sign a form agreeing and acknowledging that life begins at conception. While they're at it, why not a form confirming jesus christ as the unquestioned lord and savior of all men? :rolleyes:
