vape question

I just got a vape a couple of days ago, one of the cheaper ones that are just like the BC, and I really really like it. But I just had a couple questions for anyone who has one like this. I've read that you're supposed to stop when your product is brown, but I usually go until it's all black and there's no more vapor being produced. Obviously if the stuff isn't burning and there's still vapor being made shouldn't you leave it on until it makes no more vapor, even if it is black and crispy? If there's the slightest amount of the good stuff in that vapor, then I don't really give a damn if it does taste like burnt popcorn. And another thing I was thinking, is vapor similar to smoke in the way that if smoke sits in a bong too long, it becomes chokey smoke, or can I let the vapor fill up the dome completely, then turn it off and sit down with it somewhere. Does it retain its potency and flavor that long?

I think it'll keep the "potency" inside the dome (bong-style) for a few minutes... 60 minutes tops... I THINK.

As to burning it down to a popcorn... well, when I did vape, I didn't push it... if it stopped producing vapor, I tossed the weed.

But if you want to get every last bit of THC out, roll a joint... I'm sure you'll get 0.04% higher.

I think the only thing that could happen from letting it sit is the THC going back into solid form. As some of them go below the sublimation temperature, they'll settle on the sides of the dome and coat it. I know this because I've seen slight amounts of coating on my glass vaprozation hookah. But I think it's like a few cents worth of pot every 45 seconds it's sitting there. That's just my estimate with my piece.

I was kind of skeptical about getting the cheaper dome one cause so many people on here had trashed it. But now that I've used it, I tend to think that people might not have taken the time to do the process correctly or something, because it rivals my two and a half foot bong. I usually grind up the stuff really well, way more than I do with a bong or j, then let it fill up quite a bit before everyone starts. It's a really spacey high and a little more energetic, like most people say. My wife and I used it last week before we headed out to the motley crue concert, and it was almost sensory overload! I seriously thought several times about trying to run and get up on the stage(we were fifth row), especially after some dude did attempt it and nikki sixx pulled him up there. But anyway, bong, vape, j, it's all good.

I usually vape it until it is light brown and popcorn tasting. I save the leftovers to make butter with and it still works. 2 highs from one stash... can't beat that.

I must admit, though, I am one who does not like the bc or other "heat element" type vaporizers. I use the vapobros personally (the little wooden box one) and it works GREAT! I have also used the Volcano which is amazing but super expensive. I have known people who use the volcano to fill bags with vapor and leave the bag to sit over night and supposedly it still works.
