arite.. i had a seedling lyk 11 days old growin in paper towels.. then i tried to transplant it soil this time, no nutes.. i also switched the lighting..
i put up 2 18" 15w fullspectrum t-8 fluoro tubes 3in from its head..
i wake up and the leaves are twisted!! looks lyk its dying.. theres also a few spots on it, the spots are a cream color..
has anyone encountered this problem??

i'm praying!!!!!! i took her out of the soil and put her back in the paper towels.. the leaves went back to normal... ?!

kk.. i was told that it was too early to transplant it and that i might have shocked it..
i also think i overwatered the soil, its was a bit muddy and clumpy..
the soil is Garden Basics General Purpose Potting Soil
so i took my plant out and put it back in the paper towels.. within an hr, the leaves were straight and stable again..
so i got more soil this time and didn't water it, and i put a plastic film over the top to keep in the moisture.. and i put it under the original light it had.. and its by the window collecting sun as well..

umm make sure it gets natural light after the transplant and dont bend the root....make sure it slides in...then hold the plant and fill soil in the hole....pack in and keep doing till she stands
water like 1/4 cup and let her soak in the sun for a week or so
add water as needed so the top soil is moist...not wet...moist....just water when the soil and inch under the surface is bone dry
Twisted leaves normally will not effect any thing if it is the first leaves emerging. The young plants will grow norml at the third set usually. I dont know what causes it but it is nothing to worry about

but the leaves twisted within hours.. and turned brown.. i'm really sure weed is supposed to be greeen.. and turn brownish at flowering.. not 10days into life lol
so i put homey back in the soil, figuring he HAS to grow in there, can't be in paper towels in flowering lol but seriously tho..
i switched the lighting, earthydank told me that the roots develope mostly overnight, homegirl has been in 24/0 light since germ, so i'm swithcin it up..
O in that case maybe a ph problem. I leave veg on 24 hours as well and have never had a problem with it. Cool white flouros are the best spectrum for flouros. I have never used the full spectrum t-8s and dont know what the degree kelvin they run at is. If you want to convert degree kelvin into nanometers take 300,000 and divide the degree kelvin and you get the nanometers. 360 to 720 nanometers is the pure visable light. I have talked with Phillips in the Nietherlands a few times and most plants need 36.3 % blue light 58.3% yellow light and 5.3 % red light for proper growth and vitamin development and breakdown. Different vitamins develop and breakdown at different frequencies. Blue produces cholorplasts and yellow breaks it down. Hope that is helpfull it is tuff to say with out seeing the problem but I dont have a camera either.

Transplanting young plants causes stress. I would not switch the light at the same time of transplanting very young plants. Thiamine and auxins found in norwiegn kelp extract help reduce stress. A good product is thrive alive green and I would use 1 to 2 drops per gallon.
