Generic OxyContin; 80mg & 20mg

First: if I'm in the wrong forum, I apologies. Please move this thread.

So I have a few generic 80mg and 20mg OxyContin. I dont normally take these pills, but if your looking for a high these arn't it - the only things these pills will give if taken irresponsibly is an addiction (nuff preaching). Now, The brand name Locs (oxy), as we call them, dont gel up when you snort them or crush them and add them to water (like I do); the generic do gel though. My question is, does anyone know why?

I've taken 1 brand name 80mg loc and added it to 60ml water (note: oxycodone is extremely water soluable) with no problems ... the water consistancy stayed the same. I added 2 generic 80mg locs to 60ml of water and the water thickened and turned almost oil like in consistancy. A friend of mine said they do the same thing when snorted (I dont know, I dont snort them). I'm thinking it is most likely the glues, binder, and/or fillers in the generic that make for the gel like substance. What do you guys think?

I filtered my 160mg solution last night through a coffee filter just to see what i would catch. Aside from a little filler I did also catch some of this gel like stuff. It was very slick and stringy (if you pressed your fingers together and pulled them apart).

Very weird. I just thought I would post for other's experiences.

No I dont think so ... the time release coating sorounds the pill, but can be easily sucked off; which I did before crushing. I've also noticed after a few go around with the pills that they are by far waaaaaay weaker then the brand name oxycontin. I will not be buying things again, ven if i did only pay 5.00 a pill.

A good friend of mine, in pharmocology, said the gel that forms is just what most generics do; they're cheaper and made cheaper - that and drug companies are moving away from easy wasy of administering these sort of drugs for rec use/abuse (rather, trying to make rec. use harder). He said the goverment wants to ban them completely, but due to the profitablityoxy has they are instead going to formulate a pill that cant be crushed, snorted, or that can't have its time release removed; in other words ... one single brand/type oxy (no generics, no other brands, no nothing), just this one un-abusible kind. lol, he talked all kinds of jiber0sh that mostly went over my head, but I think I got it ... or something ...

:D Ok so Oxy is most desireable opiate how the heck can you say so much bad things about it :(. Thgh I never done it so wth am I trying to proove. I do know hydrocodone (vicodin es 7.5, generic watson 387) is desireable but not something that beats most drug intoxications but it does do what it's meant to do, change the way you feel pain ;) and helps you tolerate annoying situations as well but I dont feel like talking that much on it just like to focus hard on things.. if anything considered fun would be on opiates. :D

BTW I heard vicodin sells for 10-15$ a pill, how much is Oxy a pill? 15-30$?

Generics if you buy from a reputable dealer arent any different from real deal, theyre just much cheaper and way prices are skyrocketing in CA due to cost of living... it helps a whole lot. Just make sure what your buying is viable for what it's meant to do.

WTF??? lol, wana buy some vics ... at that price you would make me a man with very deep pockets. Try more like 2.00/pill or less. Dont even pay 2.00 for Norcos, which are waay better than vics. oxy go for around 35 to 40/pill, depending on your supplier. I buy in bulk, so i get them for around 5.00 to 10.00/pill.

lol, and I wasnt talking bad about oxy ... i was just saying generic oxy SUCK ASS!!! Brand name are far more superior to generic. generics make me feel down and tired. Brand name make me feel all fuzzy like thousands of little fingers are massaging my intire body. They also make me up and more sociable. Comparing generics to brand name is like night and day. Thats all i was saying.

ya, Oxy goes for around .50 cents a milliGram. (Ex: 80mg ~$40) I get 80mg's for 25$ So I cant complain. But damn, you get em for 5/10 an 80? Does you supplier set a minimum that you have to buy?
