Water (hydroponics).
Air (aeroponics).
coconut fibre. similar 2 soil but suppost 2 b better.
no i ment like could you use newspaper as soil or anything like a soil replacement
Yeah the coconut fibers.
most soil is pretty cheap why not just use it? i buy a bale of promix for like $23 and it last me a few months, and i have 4 separate grow chambers to keep stocked!
You can use anything that holds water and nutrients. Check pH and all that jazz.
right now im at collage
in the city so i cant realy dig some up
dont have a car and walking back with potting soil might make me look out of place
thats why i am asking if theres like a household item i can use untill i get some soil
If you have a bunch of little rocks like for a fish tank. Those will work. Make sure you will be able to transplant anything you use to soil without disturbing the roots.
Why not just order what you need offline? Then its delivered to your door in a discrete box. You dont even have to leave your room! You could even request plain brown paper packaging in the delivery notes. Sorted
Personally, I think you'll be limiting your potential by improvising a growing medium. Best stick to what you know.
