Please help! (Spraying/Watering) My plants need you!
I was just looking at some of the post about healthy plants size and Iā??m a little concern with my plants. My 3 weeks old plants are healthy with a very nice green color but they donā??t seem to be growing enough. (They donā??t have lotā??s of leaves and tend to stay quite small)
They are under a full spectrum fluorescent (24/0) at about 1 to 2 inch from the top.
I started them from seeds.
Iā??m using the Ultimate Potting Mix from Pro Mix.
POSSIBLE PROBLEM:
Iā??m spraying them 3 times a day but Iā??m not putting actual water directly in the soil! As shown in a growing video I have. IS THIS A BAD THING? When should I stop spaying and start the actual watering?
Also, I just noticed yesterday that my water as a PH of 7.2 so Iā??m wondering if it could affect the growth of my babyā??s ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Possible problem = definate problem... WATER YOUR PLANTS!
Plants get water through the roots, not the leaves.

I spay the soil too but not enough so that it would get to the buttom of the pot. Just enough to keep the first inch ot two of the soil moist as shown in my growing videos but I'm starting too dought that mpg.
I guess it's O.K. to just spray for the first week to let the root work but I have to start watering normaly as of right now!
Thanks smoknjoe
Anyone else ?
What about PH. (I bought a PH tester yesterday so I will fix it at 6.0 to 6.2) but does 7.2 make the growing process any slower ?

WATER THEM! Seriously dont be afraid to water them and when you do water them well. That way the roots expand well :) Strong roots makes a healthy plant!

Yes higher PH's can slow growth a bit. 7.2 is not too bad though. 6.0 - 6.5 with your pro-mix would be better.

My experience with watering...
Water on-schedule... say, once every 3 days (depends on your setup)...
But, water well!!! When you water, don't be shy with the watering... pour as much water as your heart desires into the pot... provided it has appropiate drainage...
I watered, for about 3 months, my plants with a very, very wrong technique.
I watered them just a little bit... until, I understood that you had to water the pot until it's soaking...
Guys, please correct me if I'm wrong...

:rasta:  you can water and foiliar feed your plant and have no problems. I do both and the out come is great. I think ph for a soil grow should stay in the middle meaning 7.0 because most soil that is bought in stores is 7.0. When the plant grows outside in the wild no one can check the ph because its growing wild. I try to keep it as real as I can and try to mimic the outdoors. If you just leave the plant alone and just water and feed when needed you will be amazed at the out come and get as high as you can.
