When your plant stretches you are even lucky to get that. Usually the plant dies because it's unable to support its own weight. Get some seeds, start over and keep your light close enough to eliminate stretching. The light being to high is the number 1 cause of a plant stretching. The plant reaches and reaches for the light and its way too young.

yeah but if you deliberatly needed the nodes apart then could you stretch it a little or would it be too much stress?
Hi Dready
stretching is very commmon amongst growers... especially new growers.. but even veteran growers never learn.. LOL
Unless it is CRAZY severe stretching, you are fine
Bring the light as close as possible..
what kind of light are you using?
The worst kind of stretching is stretching caused by window light or incandescent light... thhis type of stretch and lean is more difficult to recover from... But your plant will be fine... you can also add more soil...

a friend gave me 4 plants that were sprouted in jiffy pops(whatever there called)
I saved all of them but only kept 2.
They are seeds from bags he got from the east coast.
One is a berry smelling indica and the other a fat ass sativa.
My point is , when I first got them they were soooo stretched that they were fallen over .But Now they are the healthiest plants I have since I brought them back from a stretching death.
i would neveer recommend giving up on a plant unless there is obviously no hope.
