I am a little lost on what the actual question you are asking is. Are you asking about the discoloration on the leaves?

I was hoping the discoloration was from overwatering but it looks more like somekind of worm. Any advice, that is, if they survive the hurricane

and whats on ur plant is bugs eating at it.. I had the same problem.. but took care of it after nearly killing my plant.. but i've had no real problem now.. I've been using dish soap and it works..

hey cowboy, west central florida here. and yes those are bugs and the soap and water idea is a good one to use. hope it works out for you.
