thanks for the suggestion but unless you are a cafe member the pm function will not work.
also it would probly take a while and not just that some people dont deserve a reason why.
That's why mods on other boards usually post a message and then close the thread to keep people from going WTF MY THREAD!!!11ONEONEONE. :)Quote:

With that said, a thread status / deletion notice feature may be added eventually to display in one's user profile and/or elsewhere.

Maybe have the PM system allow incoming but no outgoing messages, so that way cafe members could write to whomever they wanted to since they are paying members, and staff can PM any member for any reason. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for reminding me about that idea ...
Though sometimes I wonder, if perhaps, I should just turn the PM system on for everyone, which would allow for more communication all around.
Abuse is still an issue, but I have a much better grasp of VBulletin now than I did back in 2003, and could likely add PM throttling / filtering in if needed.

Yeah. I guess this was just my less-retarded way of saying what-the-fuck. I agree some threads should just be deleted, but if someone is a normal member who doesn't act like a jerk all the time, I think the least a mod could do would be to close it along with a post saying why. If my thread about a family member falling down stairs (hahahaha) was just too far off topic, even for "The Lounge", it might be a good idea to add a few more forums, such as "Totally Off-Topic", or "Television".Quote:
