Drying Time, Perfect Drying Conditions (HELP NEEDED ASAP!)
Hey Everyone,
That time has come to chop Baby Girl. She looks like she'll be drying up to around an OZ. (Not much but its something) The point is i want it to be REALLY high quality smoke. The bud is very good quality now, but that usually changes when i dry. I have already trimmed her up and cut her off by the branches to hang. My drying room has fishing wire going from one side to the other. (where they are hanging about 2 inches apart) It is pitch dark, with no venthillation, and has an oscillating fan on the ground facing the wall (for circulation). Time is not an issue right now i am just trying to get good bud from this. The temp ranges are 70.1F Max and 48.9F MIN. The humidity ranges are 79% MAX, and 61 % MIN. I also have the fan on a timer so it turns off at night because it gets very cold.
Any help would be GREAT!
Thanks

i just hang my bud in a closet with an exhaust fan in the ceiling. usually takes 3-4 days to dry. i cure it for 1-2 months and get some nice tight, sticky, and of course stinky buds. the longer they cure the smoother the smoke gets. i never spent alot of time worrying about tem/humidity of the closet. my house is in the low to mid 70's most of the time.

yeah, ideal conditions are 70-75 degrees F in a completely dark room or closet...light and moisture are your enemies now...get a dehumidifier if need be...but for an OZ, i think you won't need it...usually takes about 4-5 days, then curing however long you want...the bud just gets better with time.

70% Humidity is too much? i can probobly get ahold of of a dehumidifier. There is no exaust in the closet. Will that greatly effect them?
Thanks so much for your quick responces.

You definitely want an exchange of new air to take place, so try to figure out a tiny bit of exhaust I would say. Do you have a fan near em?

ello sittinstoney.. well first of all.. dont get stressed and panic.. you have done all the hard work.. drying is a breeze... it sounds like you have everythin spot on.. i mean lots of peps dry in a room with there carbon filter on so the smell is not a problem.. but as you have said its only a smallish amount of bud.. so if smell is not a problem your good to go... the real key to gettin good bud is in drying them slowly and to cure them....
happy harvest man.. enjoy ur labour of love:rastasmoke:
