You can die from alcohol poisoning, right?

I got into an argument with my dad a while back and I was telling him how alcohol kills over 100,000 people a year, other drugs kill more people, and marijuana kills 0. Then he started saying "well theyre just using data from people who got in accidents and stuff, because no ones ever died from alcohol poisoning"

Now my dads usually a smart guy. So I cant just automatically say he's wrong when he says something. But You can actually die from drinking too much alcohol, right? Like your CNS shuts off and you just die? Cuz my dad seems to think otherwise and I always thought you could.

Yeah i knew it. My dad doesnt seem to beleive that people die from smoking too much marijuana. And that it gives you lung cancer. Of course, smoking cigs and weed can get you cancer but not just weed. But the weed can contribute I guess... and he doesnt beleive me about why it is illegal, either. About how American's didnt like immigrants from mexico who smoked, so they made it illegal so mexicans would be like aw man i dont wanna go to america if you cant smoke weed. I bet if i could get my dad to beleive those then hed be all for me smoking

You want to rephrase that? No-one has ever died from smoking too much cannabis, the LD50 of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is far too high die from smoking it.

Enough of anything can kill you. SOme things require more to kill than others though. Weed requires an absolute shitload to kill you. I dont think your stomach could hold the amount of thc thatd kill you

Thats not true. I died from using cannabis. I got high and fell off a bridge onto the highway.

i heard on some thing the other day....i cant remember what it was on....but anyway
cigs and alcohol kill more people than, every other drug put together X1000...

i thought that was pretty crazy....
