butane extraction

did the butane thing today, made an extraction column out of an old turkey baster and a wire coathanger to hold it. 1/4 oz. of chopped seedy weedy buds were packed in and a test bud was placed in the collection vessle to hopefully become supercharged. put a can of ronson thru, collected the runoff in a pyrex cup (with the sacrificial bud in it) and let it gas off. i have now a bud that is super sticky and a fine resin that is milky white to play with. i tried a little and it is different. more to come.

hard to recover the residue...didn't do too much for the test buds that got soaked. i have found that when the butane evaporates a bubbly looking film is left behind that is somewhat hard to gather. using isopropyl alcohol i rinsed the collection vessel and evaporated a second time. the resulting brown goo can be scraped up and enjoyed. i think higher quality stuff would yield entirely different results.

I agree scooter.I tried your method with 4 grams of shit skunk got a minute amount of stcky didnt use alcohol jus dipped a few joints and scrapped what i could fotr a few messsely pipes.But itwas stil nicer than the shit I started with lol!

i'd like to have a pound or so to play with! i've found that thc is more easily extracted with oil, would like to do a comparison between the two! i am hopefully gonna have test material after a while.

dont use that expensive butane try some cheap 99cent store stuff,no parfumes much better results

EW ronson for butane extractions do me a favor spray some ronson on a mirror then spray some really good tripple refined next to it....ronson leaves a white film
