problems with parents

my mom has found out that i smoked a few times now, and this time she has had it. she has taken my truck, my internet is off (so she thinks, i have another wireless adapter :D ), and worst of all she is totally not letting me get in contact with my best friend ever again because she knows he does it. she has threatened to even tell the school if i dont miraculously change my views on weed and stop doing it. i told her that i would not be changing my mind and i would rather be open with her about it than just tell her what she wants to hear but she will not accept anything but DRUG FREE! so im very pissed and i dont want to have to wait 1.5 years untill im 18 to start seeing my friends again and all, so do you guys have any advice? she thinks pot is the devil and my friend is the spawn of satan for doing it with me and not telling me about how terrible it is. :(

Ethically it's very wrong, however, I don't see any other way out of it, unless you want to be indepedent. Get a job, and buy your car, insurance, and then you can go out and see your friends.

don't tell her and don't get caught, I mean really is it that important that she needs to know? or wouldn't it be easier for you to just lie, and not get caught. Its a bitch sneaking around, I know, but you got to look it from the viewpoint that you told her now and took the leap, it backfired, and ure mom is just from that wave of thought, over time she might change her mind, but at the moment she believes in the government propoganda, that is enstilled in her mind since when she was young, change her mind by supplying her with the facts behind all the myths, but thats gonna take a lot of time on ure part to research, and in the end, som1 will only ever believe something in the end if they really want too, and your mom sounds like one of those people who don't want to. The morally right thing to do is stand your ground, cuz weed is just a plant, you can't fuckin believe ppl are so moronic to threaten you for it, then turn around and say its good for you because at the end of the day you're 'harming' ureself, irreparably, even if you can't see it. But in reality, no matter what you know you gotta look at whats really gonna happen, she gonna call the school, which is gonna bring a hole load of shit in to ure life both at home, and then school (can u imagine if ure school calls police?), and then that goes on for the next 1.5 years, and ure gonna be frequently drug tested for which you defineatly can't smoke weed, every fucking slip in ure academic lifestyle will be attributed to that, and yes you are morally right, but what good does it come to?

i printed that off the other day to show to my parents....well i left it lying around so they would read it because then they won't think its just me trying to convince them....its just some info i got...

Print off the FAQ from here and just give it to her one day and walk away, leaving her to read it while you get on with whatever the fuck you want to be doing! :D

I've never been in this situation myself as pot has always been accepted in our family, but there are a few options.

You could lie. That would be unethical, but if you want to do that, you can. Just tell her you don't smoke anymore ;), hide your stash really good, keep one pipe, or pack of papers, and hide them well! Hide your smoking well.

I would say become indepandant and move out, but you sound awfully young and not too many people are going to rent space to a 16yr old. Teenagers have bad reps.. Maybe move in with an older friend who has his own place? I did that when I was 17.

Other than that, maybe try and find some documents online about how virtually harmless MJ is, when it comes to long term effects and damage.
