I am going to be posting some of my own techniques-- I hope they are of some use to people. Here is a long ass post telling you the most efficient way to "activate" your most probably dorment chakras or focal energy points.
Close your eyes and try to picture in your mind's eye a ball of white light, glowing like a white sun. Now visualize that sphere of light hovering just above your head. Let it rest there for a few moments then imagine it descending to rest on top of your head where your Crown chakra is located.
Now take a long, slow, deep breath. Feel your whole energy system drawing in energy from that light. Breath in the power of light. Energize yourself with enlightenment.
When you breath out do so in a way that will not expel the light. So control the out-breath - just let the breath trickle gently from your mouth very, very slowly. In this way your will not be lettign go of the light you have drawn in, only that which is not 'of' the light.
Perform this inbreathing and outbreathing several times, then visualize the ball of light moving down your brow where you Brow chakra is located. Take a deep breath and consider the illumination that the light is bringing to your mind, so that you may act with the clarity of a knowledge that comes from within. Repeat the inbreathing and outbreathing several times.
Now visualize the sphere descending down your throat. The Throat chakra is associated with communication, so after inhaling the light breath out and visualize waves of like emanating from you, like ripples of water in a pond. As you take in more breaths regard the globe of light as a bradcasting station sending out and drawing in messages and information.
Next visualize the light moving down your chest where the Heart chakra is located. As you take in a deep breath, think of it as a glowing ball of love- Love who's warmth you can feel. As you breath in and out a few times imagine sending out warm, embracing energies to the entire universe. It is the power of Love and Compassion, the greatest force for good in the entire Cosmos.
Now let the light move down your solar plexus area and as you take a deep breath, visualize your energy-field lighting up all around you. As you breath out feel th elight energy expanding in all directions. Keep this up for a few minutes, before allowing the ball of light to move down to you abdomen where the Sacral chakra is located. The sacral chakra is related to your sexuality and with what motivates you. So as you breath in the light be aware of it's great energizing power; as you breath out feel its great driving force.
Move the light down to the base of the spine where the chakra's funtion is to provide energy which you can use to guard and protect yourself physically. Breath in and out slowly and imagine the light encircling you like a protective shield. Generate a feeling of saftey and security.
After performing this a few times, let the ball of light descend to a place between the ankles. Breath in deeply and sense the thrill of your freedom from movement and balance. Imagine yourself dancing freely or skating on ice.
Now move the light down to just beneath your feet. Visualize it as a platform which is embedded in the Earth so that you are safe an secure standing on it. Breath in and out a few times and imagine it sending down roots of light into the earth itself, and you drawing up energy from the Earth.
Finally, as your breath in imagine the light being drawn up threw your legs and boy and jetting out through the top of your head. Then, as your breath out, feel the light cascading all around you like water from a fountain and soaking down into the ground beneath your feet. Breath in to draw light upwards and out to let it flow down through your aura. Repeat this several times and your whole body will be aglow.
Before concluding this exercise, a further beneficial effect can be obtained by balancing the power centres you have activated.
Once you have worked on your chakras in this way for a few days your insight - your inner 'seing' - and your inner hearing will develope.
