i dunno dude, but cos i used to live there, i would say that they would be against it, just like the liberals, but i would say its a change for the best, the consertative government
"However, the Conservatives in their campaign promises promoted mandatory minimum sentences for marijuana growing and selling. They said they don't want decriminalization of any kind. Over 100 Conservatives elected are on the record supporting prohibition, and most favor a US-style War on Drugs and Users."
So, not good. Taken from Cannabis Culture.
I'd assume since not that many were actually voting for the conservatives as much as they were voting against the liberals, and the fact that it's a minority governemnt, that not much of their policies will be based; especially in regards to social policy.
yeah if the liberals brought the law in on decriminalizing it, and its a minority, i don' think the consertatives will bring it up, especially if they could loose out.
no but the NDP will fight quite hard to get it through and some liberals are against prohibition...so theres a slight change to move things up...
glad to see some people interested in other countries pollitics than theirs!
I quickly looked on the internet and the conservatives have already said before the election that they will not decriminalize marijuana, and they will not reintroduce a Liberal bill that would fine people caught possessing less than 15 grams of weed instead of imposing criminal sentences.

nope there not for it
unfortunately... that would've been just one of my many reasons not to vote conservative, if i were old enough to vote.
