I would say try drawing something neutral to your liking. Do a still-life of a bowl of fruit. The reason those kinds of still-lifeā??s have been done for thousands of years is because of how they advance your skill without an emotional attachment. I know art should be emotional but that is why practice on something like a bowl of fruit is so good. Your emotion will still come through, but in a way that is VERY constructive.
As for talent? Only you know but I donā??t think that drawing shows your real talent. I donā??t see much emotion in that drawing, It does not do anything for me. But that is just my personal opinion. And your drawings should be for yourself not me or anyone else.
Sorry, ether that will sound like a load of crap or good advice. Your choice.
lol, I would call that sound advice..
From what I can tell, it looks like you have good potential, it just needs to be nurtured and lotsa practice. I can def. see talent there, it's just knowing how to use it. Draw to your strenths if you want, of even better, draw to your weaknesses. As for advice..hmm I guess I would say that when you're drawing people or anything else complex, just focus on the shapes rather than the whole picture. That's the best advice I've heard, and it helps me focus on the smaller sections of something, slowly building up to the finished project.
I still like it though :) Shoot, when I get my camera pretty soon, I'll post some of my stuff up.
veryyyyy niceeeeeeee.......lol
Thanks for all the input :)
I've been taking art classes for like 5 years and noone has ever explained why I keep doing still life like that before, pretty smartQuote:
