Yes, learn autohypnosis, high or not! I think if you really dedicated yourself to it (like a real Hindu monk or something) you wouldn't need drugs cuz you could just hypnotize yourself to be high. I really believe that, but no way could I get that far cuz I don't live in Tibet.

I think by any name there is this inner power that is physical as well as mental, and is the key to things like accupuncture, biofeedback, meditation, martial arts, tai chi, etc. Auto hypnosis is one approach that appealed to my scientific nature (more than a religious teaching.)

I never got very far and havent gone there for a while but it was cool. You may have revived my interest. I did't check you link yet but will have a look.

My first experience was in the college library, I was reading this book on hypnosis at random from curiosity. It came to a part where it unexpectedly said my hand was leaving the table and my arm jerked out so hard I almost fell over. Scared me. The book had a self teaching program that worked pretty well. I guess when I got out of school I forgot about it.

This also seems to relate to some things that happen with a Ouija board and "automatic writing" where your hand writes things without your knowledge. I had good results with a pendulum over a circular alphabet (a frictionless Ouija board).
