I think so, but I'm not sure.
BUMP
SOMEONE PLEASE :( :P
Bro, if anything get some red spectrum (around 2400K) CFL's or something to last you till you can get a new bulb. The plants won't like explode if you change their light spectrum for a little while. Goodluck.
read the out put 400watt hps ballast and then the bulb
i know that 400 to 1000 will work so maybe the 150 to 400 will work,,, Z had a write up on it about 2 mo ago.
The home depot here carries 400 watt HPS bulbs. They just don't have the ballast's. Call them up and ask them and if they don't I bet a HD somewhere near you does. I just went to HD's website and searched for 400 watt sodium and the bulb came up. $45.96 a piece.
My rule is to match the bulb with the ballast. No exceptions. (unless it's a conversion bulb)

No, you can not. do not attempt this.
any hydroponic shop can and will any questions you have. be safe.

No that bulb uses a smaller voltage to start up so your 400w would blow it up.
bulbs odly working now...the power blew a breaker. and when the breaker was fixed the bulb still didnt work, and then it just came on a couple hours later....??? and is working fine now. im pretty sure its just because the breaker got messed up....
