Making Slides and Stems for My BONG!

I bought a new Bong a couple weeks ago and the other day I was careless and broke the Slide, basically I broke the bowl right off of it and then I was so baked I ended up breaking it worst, so i had to toss it.
I was bummed so yesterday I made a Slide out of a small one hitter I had, it had a pefect size bowl and I attached a bic pen piece, the straw looking part to it, it fit perfect and works great!
BUT WHAT IF, I didnt have these parts and wasnt lucky enough to make one.
How do ya'll make 'em, or what can you use? I mean u can just buy one at the head shop but if your bored or poor what can you do?
I heard they sold some baking utensil at walmart thats a perfect fit.
So anyone?
