Don't let them dry out, mine had to stay wet. if the tops of the cube start to look dry a couple drops of water will do. I too have noticed it takes longer for them to pop.
keep it wet
: )
germing in rw will take longer than the papper towel method.make sure they dont dry out and make sure there not to cold.
in my experience with germing in rw is sometimes the seed pops but gets stuck inside the cube,if after 5/6 days of no action i will prep some more cubes and then split the cubes that havent shown any activety.inside the shell has opened but got stuck, then carefuy remove the seed from the cube and dont damage the tap root.then put seedling into fresh cube.
when I use rockwool...I presoak in ph'd ROwater, when I get ready to put seed in, I take starter cube and shake out like you would a paintbrush... freely, so as to unsoak the cube...this will leave it wet. It takes tending to, but I believe best results will be achieved if you lightly mist several times a day to just keep the top damp...the bottom will take care of it self if you keep up consistency...Imho :twocents: lw
Good luck with that stuff dude............I hope it works out for you.
