Help (germinating questions)
Well I finally took a seed out of the weed that I bought. I dont know how good it is but it has all the descriptions given for a good seed. I took two napkins and I put hot water in my hands and splashed it on them (since some one said they just needs to be wet not soaked). I put the seed between them and placed it in a Glad bin and let it set on the heater all night (not that hot :P). Anyways when I woke up I didnt..have...shit lol. Am I doing this right?
Help (germinating questions)
I usually soak one napkin in water then squueze a lot of the excess water out. I then fold one half of it on top of the seeds but leave a tiny bit of air space (very minimal). Then I put it in a sandwich bag and put that on my computer monitor here for the warmth. From what I can tell, you're doing everything correctly and should get the seed to pop soon. Goodluck brother.

You should cove it with foil to keep the light out.
Help (germinating questions)
high all, did you soak your seeds before putting them in the paper towel??
i soak mine in PH water at 6.3 with some 3% h2o2 over night. what you are doing is ok too just make sure they don't dry out. THEEHT

Ok, btw I dont have anything to determine pH yet lol I have no idea what to do with that. Though I will use some aluminum foil to keep the light out :D.
Help (germinating questions)
I have never had a problem getting seeds to germinate by just planting them in the soil. Water the soil heavily and soon the little ones come out. Nature's been doing it this way for a very long time and it's been working pretty good so far. lol
I guess I just don't see any benefit to the paper towl method. The only thing I see is the possibilty of damaging young roots by handling them after they've popped.
Anyway different strokes for different folks.
