Has anyone ever made or tried a cannabis tincture? If so, please share your experiences.
I am thinking of trying a tincture. Would a vaporizer be better? I know I don't want to cook with weed. But I want a way to get high from it without smoking it.
Tips welcome!

I'm keeping an eye on this thread....I'm interested in options other that smoking. Vaporizer seem the best from what I've read. Always open to suggestions. :D
You can get a good vape online for $150. I've never tried tincture, but I hear green dragon is phenomenal. The easy way to make it is to grind up some weed, put it in a bottle with strong alcohol (Everclear works well, 190 proof), and leave it in a dark place for at least a month, shaking from time to time. Strain the weed out; the THC should have transferred into the liquid. You can make it much quicker using heat, but heated alcohol is kinda dangerous, so read up on how to do it safely.
Damn, Everclear is illegal in my state, would the highest proof vodka work also? Maybe if I let it sit longer? Also, is Green Dragon something you'd administer with a dropper or drink like a shot? How much to take?

Get the highest proof alcohol that is legal in your area. You definitely want stronger than 80 proof, which is what most hard alcohol is, if at all possible. Assuming that you give it enough time, the green dragon should be about as potent as brownies with similar amounts of weed. 1oz shots are the ideal dose; determine how much weed to use based on the desired strength per dose and number of doses (e.g., a 0.5g dose and 20 doses would require 20oz alcohol and 10g weed).
