Rebuild ALL of New Orleans! WTF! This was the city that looted everything not tied down when the police left. Who lied about things that didnt happen, who blamed all their problems on everyone but themselves. And what happens when the next hurricane comes next year...or the year after that..we rebuild again?
N'awlins is simply too important of a port city (where the Mississippi river meets the Gulf) for it not to be rebuilt. We just need a diesel levee this time, ya know, the kind that stops hurricanes.

^^^Me, too. Although they could perhaps find a spot a mile or two away which is at least 5 feet above sea level.
Mixed feelings. Since it's probably the most corrupt group of politicians in the country, and since the feds, state, county/parish, and city govenrments either re-routed, cut back or flat our stole the funding for beefing up the levies, we probably have an obligation to rebuild...one more time. After that, they are on their own. And what idiot came up with the idea of handing out debit cards so the residents/refugees could buy whatever they wanted? Did no one see the potential for abuse on that one? The ink wasn't dry on then before they started buying shit like Gucci bags and booze and designer shoes.
