Could someone teach me about float valves and setting up a control bucket? Pretty much all I know is what I see in the toilet. I know how it works I just don't know the specifics like how exactly to use it in a control bucket. If anyone could open up their control buckets and take me a few pics I'd greatly appreciate it. Once I learn how to build me a control bucket, and a get a little big of cash, I can start growing my own hydroponics farm :D. Thanks in advance anyone.
if you are worried about res levels then just hook in another. I have a waterfarm 8 bucket system and the backup res gets awfully stagnant so I dont even use it

The basics::: There's going to be a line/level, where the 'float' will go from OFF all the way to ON.
You need to place that line/level exactly where you want it. Where do you want it? Depends on your setup/system. The float valve will mantain the fluid levels up to the line/level you designated. I think it'd be best to put your float valve on the more or less same height as your grow buckets, but have your res higher (3 or 4 feet higher)... so it gets the aid of gravity.

Actually, just looking at this pic from overgrow made me understand enough to be able to know how I can set it up for my own needs. Thanks though. Now I got all these ideas running wild in my head. I love tomatoes! :dance:
Althought I do have one more question. If 5 buckets were to be connected by a water line at the bottom of the sides and you took a little bit of water out of one of them, would they all reduce water? I'm trying to see if the water levels in all the buckets stay the same or not if they are connected.
Yeah, if you take water away from one of them, very very quickly, the level of water in all the buckets will "level out", for lack of a better term.Quote:
