About shrooms and acid and overdoseing

Ok This isnt really a question but Ive heard 2 things.. that its impossible to overdose on these two drugs and that you can overdose. I mean overdose as in it would kill you, not just taking too much.

Ive read a lot about these two things and first, i read that your stomach would burst before you ate enough mushrooms to die. But, then Ive heard from other sources that if you take to many you black out and die unless taken to the hospital. Also, my friend told me that its actually a poison but I know that isnt true. Its similar to seretonin and its def. not a poison.

Also, on acid, ive read that when you take too much acid, your body just stores it and then uses it as the active lsd goes away, so its kinda like keeping it till u need more. This would make you trip for days on end, but wouldnt kill you.

But then, ive also been told that you can overdose on lsd, have seizures and stuff and die.

Im just curious which sources are right.. im never planning on taking more than a normal dose but I cant stand not knowing the answers to stuff like this. Thanks...

There are not reported fatalities from ingesting psilocybin. Massive doses of LSD may be fatal but as far as I know none have been confirmed. So I can say confidently that you're not going to die as the result of the direct pharmacological action of psilocybin or LSD, if you do your name will go down in medical history.

Both psilocybin and LSD are indoles that act on the 5-HT (serotonin) receptor system. When I was in elementary school I remember this anti-drug bitch telling the class that acid stays in your body forever. Truth is it doesn't, your body doesn't store any of it for any amount of time. It is metabolized and excreted from the body very quickly, well before the trip is even over.

^^^You probably could, given good conections and a nice wad of cash (and in the case of shrooms, the knowledge of chemistry to extract reasonably pure psylocybin), but no sane person ever would. And suicidal people usually prefer downers. There is a lethal dose of everything, including water. As a practical matter, ain't gonna happen. Obviously, you can ruin your whole day at a tiny fraction of the LD-50, and some of the sythetic phychedelics have caused deaths at foolish, but not impractical doses.

someone I knew once od'ed on about a sheet at a party I think. He was having convulsions and swallowing his toungue and had to be taken away by the ambulance. he lived though and seems normal now.
I prefer lighter doses than most peoples normal dose. It is a lot better and you can spark up a bowl to intensify it a little if needed.
