Fuck that...if they want to destroy 99% of the touristic economy, then they probably will make it so that only the dutch can purchase....i very much doubt they will though.

Another indulgence that seems to be synonymous with the city is marijuana. While the plant is not entirely legal or illegal, itâ??s tolerated in small quantities.

The new EU laws on smoking tabacco, ie your not allowed to smoke at a bar or confined spaces which could effect employees health which were introduced last year are going to effect coffee shops in 2007.
everybody has assumed that coffee shops would be exempt from the law, as people go there to smoke, where as people go to a bar to drink so no need for the employees to suffer.
Its now been agreed that the coffee shops have an extention till 2007 to sort themselves out, which means coffee bar down stairs and the smokers up stairs or some how make it so the employes have no smoke around them
now that sucks! :stoned:

You will find some attractions, and things to do when you visit Amsterdam on this page,
a growing list of tourist information recommended by the THC Ministry.
Of course, all the attractions we recommend are 'cannabis friendly'.
