first bad trip...what happened?

So last night I split an eigth of shrooms with a friend. I ate them and then about 15 minutes later I took 2 vicodin's. About an hour goes by and Im starting to feel the shrooms so we go outside to smoke a bowl. We came inside and there was a lot of people in the room...they were really loud, and it sounded like they were all just one big blur of loud sound. I sat down and started freaking out and thinking everyone was watching me and looking at me, I got so incredibly paranoid like never before. Then I started thinking "I cant go on like this, I cant go home tonight...I have to die" and I was thinking about going outside and how I could kill myself and shit. It was so weird, I dont even know how to describe what else happend it was just so different than anything I've ever experienced. It went on for about another 2 hours until I went outside to have a cigg, and after that I calmed down a lot.

So do you think it was maybe because I took the vicodin? I've never taken a combination of vicodin and shrooms...or maybe the setting just freaked me out a lot since everyone was so loud...Any input?

you cant handle your drugs...so dont do them

How many times had you done shrooms before? I've only done em three times, never had a truly bad trip, as in like a panic attack type trip, but my experience has always been that shrooms make everything seem huge, intense, confusing and overwhelming. Combine that with other drugs that you have not combined before, and you've got potential for bad stuff to happen. Also, those must have been really potent shrooms if you only had half an eighth and still tripped hard. Or maybe the mushies in my town just suck. who knows. That would be my guess, anyway.

me an a mate ate shrooms and he buzzed out too hard and thought he was gona die and lay in bed for three days thinking he was sick(walk round with a blanket coughing and shit), noid as fuck, and we just buzzed out and smoked weed and cracked up he didnt find it to funny when he woke up to it but sometimes they just come out of the blue the bad ones

I've done shrooms maybe 7 times by now...a half an eigth is a lot for me considering Im only 95 pounds.

Yeah I forgot about the weight factor. I dunno, I guess bad trips are unpredictable. I haven't messed with psychadelics too much, so i'm not the best person to say. Probably had to do with the setting though. Set and setting, as they say. Better luck next time.

yeah i think bad trips are pretty unpredictable. my friend and i split a small amount of shrooms after we drank and smoked a lot with a lil coke. he just had his head down the whole time and we had to drop him off at this other guys house and he went to sleep. i felt pretty good the whole time though so i guess it was just a random bad trip

i see the problem here its cause your mixing the drugs with each other , like coke with shrooms ,lol, coke makes me feel up then down and its a bad down, mix that with the intese feelings of shrooms and that becomes a bad trip. but wen i do shrooms with nothing else (part from da herb) im all good. IMO

best way i found not to have a bad trip is getting pretty drunk before takin mushrooms or acid, the effect it has on your mind an body is such that although the hallucinations are the same it doesn`t have that emotional trauma where one minute u feel alright then next u feel all wrong "hot an cold" syndrome. but then if u worry about takin bad trips then the best defence really is DONT PARTAKE. I spent my entire teen years an most of my twenties trippin cause they grew in abundant supply where i come from an were readily available during the autumn months , that an the fact i loved hallucinating , as did most of my mates, but be wary of the humble mushroom not everyone has the capability to handle them an u wont know if that means u till your head disappears up your arse an u start talkin backward an shit, unable string to together sentences more any simple eh!!!!!!!!!!!

mixing pharms with shrooms wasnt a brilliant idea.
inexperience and panic attack sound right to me.
IMO, mixing drugs that cause mild to sever hallucinations with booze/anti-depressants is not a smart or fun thing to do. I would ask myself..."self...what is it you are looking for in a high? if you intentions are to get so fucked up you cant remember anything this could be a symptom of your surroundings/life. If you intentions are to have fun you should educate yourself with the drugs you want to do and learn how to do them safely.
