WW,BB, PP New grow diary

After a successful, if small, grow completed I have finally taken the plunge and brought some good seeds and designed a very sweet grow box that should bring me years of happyness and fine buds, heres my story so far...

The first grow didnt go as well as I thought, speant a min. amount on some ok CFLs a blue 125w ecolite and a red 125w ecolite, hooked the blue light up in the smallest of cubboards and germinated 13 of the finest bag seeds I could find ( I was lucky at the time I was datin a girl who managed to get some killer NL, over the 3 months or so we where together manged to collect 13 seeds from the weed and thats not the luckiest thing!! ) as i say i germed 13 and kept them all going not knowin that everyone was a female!! so you can imagine the site 8 weeks down the line with 11 plants crowded round this small 125w red light, had to kill 2 and even then that wasnt enough!! each plant gave me 2/3g each at end of it but hey, it was a learnin experience i am thankfull for, because now I can grow some really good stuff, well can try to grow it!! here goes :

Take some fans, some MDF/Plywood and some female seeds, was lucky I found a small shop that sells single DP feminised seeds so I had to get 3 Blueberry , 1 white widow and 1 powerplant

after a days I finally started gettin the grow box together, took a while i can tell you that!! must admit bit lazy and was smoking the left overs from last grow which was mind blowing but got there in the end!!

so right where was I, ok, so once i had finished the basics it was time to finish the frame off and start thinkin about installin fans, lights and other bits and pieces, for anyone interested it measures 5 ft by 3 ft with 5 ft height, fits great in me room, best advice i can give is to build it around the mdf panels, managed to get a few measurements from the DIY store beforehand, pics 6 and 7 show some more veiws of it.

pics 8, 9 and 10 are pics of growbox flower room with one 125w red ecolight, this is not the final light im usin in there its just i cant get me 400w til the end of next month at latest so its there for emergency and extra lightin of lower plant once all is sorted. Pic 9 is the extraction unit, mounting 4 120mm fans together 2 by 2, and using wire and half the uks gaffer tape i managed to rig it all up you can see the carbon filter attached to it in pic 8, and now pic 10 is the veg room thats under the little shelf on left hand side in pic 8, its very small im hopin to keep 3 bonsai mothers in there with enough room to clone them and get another 3 plants goign every 2/3 weeks dependin on how they take

pic 11 is a pic of the veg room and the seeds at about err 3 days i think it was, everything going really good except the powerplant doesnt seem to be takin at all, just curlled up like its about to die, had me worried til this mornin!!

pic 13 was taken this morning, it shows the powerplant doing better than it was, still early days but all looks good :thumbsup:

and pic 12 is the growbox in my already cramped room! argh, I addicted to music be it DJin, Production or just listening hence my room is full of hardware its crazy !

I will try and find some pics of me first grow if any1s interested, I still cant believe i got somethign smokeable looking back and seeing all the mistakes I made!!

im planning to make my own grow box soon, where in The UK did you get your wood from (was it a chain store). How much did it cost to build the actual box, excluding lights, fans etc

hey amstron, no worries m8, pleased to meet ya :) yea using old lights plus getting a 400w HPS, forgot to mention im trying a new idea also, but i dont have any pics as i dont have the air pump yet. Im trying to combine the best from soil and hydro by placing airstones in the bottom of my pots in the flower room, I have heard the extra O2 can really make the babies fly I will post more on it after I have all the bits and pieces, be fun either way and if it dont work, can use the pump and stones in me bath as a cheap jacuzzi :D I have read a few other posts about doing this and it seems such a cool idea, heres one I have in favs :

ok, total cost of plywood was about £18 in packs of 6 @ £6 each ( roughly 220cm by 1cm by 3cm i think it was) and the mdf was about £3 a sheet and i got thru about 9 of these!! including fittings, a good strong white selaent and gaffer tape which added a extra £20 the total came to about £65 which is much cheaper than some wardrobes i have found, fits better into me room and was alot of fun ( in places ) to make highly reccoment doing it just plan it out real well as i rushed some of it causing no end of knightmares and swearing :D
