areo cloner temp ?
I have a small daisey cloner that does 8 plants. The water pump motor seems big for the size of this thing. Any way it seems to be getting too warm like 90 degrees or a little more. I know the water is a little cooler when the jets spray but damn am I going to cook my clones. I forgot the leaf shine I'm going now. The funny thing is I put some seedlings in too, 4 of them 1 died. I took them out of a rockwool cubes. They had a little root and they seem to be doing good the one that died root wasn't long enough to hang down. Clones seem on the way out and when I open cloner there seems to be algea or something in the water on the sides. Temp prob's ?

The ideal water temperature is 68 F . 90 F is way too hot.

If you have algi then light is getting into your system. Water temperature is a point of debate with a lot of people. Cooler water can hold more oxygen the warm water so cool water is preferred. BUT...................................
Clones like a warmer temperature (the root zone likes 80f and the tops 85f). They get their oxygen from the air gap between the stem and the water line.
The next school of thought of many is the root zone temperature should be 5-8 deg less then the air temperature to stimulate roots.
The temperature I use is 5-8 deg F less then the air temperature of the clones. I have found that produces the best results for root growth. Less stress on the plant is what I believe is key to happy healthy grow and that is a good thing.
Anti-Wilt is a must in my book if you want to grow from clones with any success.

Thanks guy's .
I didn't think it should be that high. The closet I keep them in stays between 75 and 80 about 85 close to the lights. I have vents to AC but they need extra fan to get a good air flow. I have cloned a bunch in the rockwool with success. This kind of had me cause the seedlings are doing great. Well the stuff I thought was algie is maybe a pump problem. The stuff is kind of oilly but not quite with a little sand in there ? I'm going to clean it out and try again. I'll post back.
