Fluffing up your bud??

Hey hows it goin everyone,

I'm new around here and I recently placed the same question in the lounge cause my stupid ass didn't realize there was a "recreational" forum on these boards as well... Sorry about that.

Anyhow - I was wondering if someone could help me out with this...

Every now and again when the yubba yubba isn't around I've gotta down grade to mids. Obviously there's a standard of quality I wont go below so its safe to say the mids I get are pretty daaaamb good - for mids anyways.

Well I was hanging out with this dude and I showed him some of these mids and he took a bud ... did something involving steaming up some water around the buds - almost like he misted them or put the bud on a screen above a bowl of water and then heated it up - and then dried the bud back out again. The result was a beautifully fluffy nug (in comparison to its fomer self) that wouldn't shake out and crumble to the touch like it was before. This guy is kind of a sketchy asshole though , i dont really hang with him, and was trying to charge me for the details of how to do it when I just wanna make sure my buds dont turn into dust from being in my pocket... Also the bud burned slower and the high wasn't degraded.

Anyone out there have some details about this technique... I'm a man of few dollars right now and I can't really blow it on "experimentation" fee's in order to figure this out... So i'm here asking you knowledgable folks if you could help me out...

Lemon juice will puff weed up.

just like boil some water in a pot, put a collinder over the top, put ur weed in the collinder and let the steam moisten it. all ur doin moistenin the weed therefor makin it expand becaouse it is absorbing some water.

Put an orange peel in the bag with your weed. The citrus oils from the peel will soak into the bud, remoistening it and giving it a nice citrusy flavor.

If you want, put a little bit of mint extract on the peel too, to add a minty sensation to the batch!

refined resin is liquid, right? :D

The peel thing works, however it is better for giving it scent than it is for fluffing the bud. I mean it does fluff it somewhat but this guy definetly did something similar to the collander thing or he misted the bud down on a plate and then microwaved it and dried it with a blowdryer or something along those lines... I just dont know how much is too much, ect... I dont wanna waste the couple Z's that i do have...

I wouldnt blow dry the bud or any of that, I tryed the collinder method except i jsut boiled a pot of water and stuck a strainer on top and put my weed in there so it didnt touch the water. The steam did make it fluffier ad it looked alot better i used Bc bud's hawiian haze tho so idk if that matters but I jsut let it dry naturally.
