:p the best way ive found to use is to take a regular size water bottle, fill to tip with cube ice, then add water up to top leaving like a 3 inch space. the stem is like 6-8 inches below water level, actually like makes the smoke cold and u can feel it in ur lungs :rasta:
too much filtering, no wonder you cant get high. try smoking direct out of your spoon.
I combined a culligain bottle (10 gallon jug?) with a hooka design. Tip the big jug upside down, poke 4 holes around the top for 4 hoses, a smaller hole in the cap for the bowl (I used a store bought one), and another 1/3 of the way up from the bottom for the last hose. Make sure that the jug is compleatly sealed and air tight. Put Corks into each end of all 5 tubes. Fill up the jug. Pack the bowl (very loosely, if it isn't loose it wont burn as well.) Then unplug the tube on the side and light the bowl. The water will drain out pulling air though the bowl filling the jug full of smoke. Now 4 people can suck at their leasure.
THe only problems I didn't solve was where to have the 10 gallons of water drain (I used the bathroom tub) and I didn't attach a tube that ran the smoke though the water. I wish I had a picture but I tossed it out before I moved last year. It was pretty cumbersome and took up a lot of room. Still It was pretty fun to smoke out of.
Flaw in your design:
Too much water.
Keep in mind how bubblers work....you want to wet your smoke up a little not send it for a swim before you smoke it........too much THC etc. deficiency.
is a bubbler just a bong without a chamber?
^ what??? heres what i do when i need to make a bong (like when im at my aunts house or at my youth group leaders house) i get a sobe bottle, some cork, some sticky tack, a bowl (which i keep in my car) and some plastic tubing. take the cork and make 2 holes, one for the bowl and one for the output tube. take the bowl and hook it up to a tube long enough to go 8/10 down the bottle. then stick a piece of tubing for the other hole. put the cork with the tubing and bowl in the bottle. seal holes with sticky tack and load it up. its pretty extreme.
