Are cigarettes a government conspiracy?

I thought this up the other night while on adderall. What if cigarettes are a conspiracy by the government to keep the population under control? I mean, there is no reason for all the carcinogens added in besides they're put there to kill people. So much shit is in a cigarette, cyanide, fermaldihide (sp), even some shit that's radioactive. Go to www.thetruth.com and read up on some of their facts, they provide references for all their claims and back them up.

Not only the United States, but the world is getting overpopulated. Cigarettes, and possibly even other things like vaccinations, flu shots, the new avian flu vaccination could just be ploys by the government to keep numbers down. Eventually, we won't all be able to fit on Earth. So why not just kill us off slowly?

Tobacco companies make an insane amount of money, but even the ones being sued are probably being paid back that money by the government. Tobacco farmers are making plenty of bucks because without them, yea.. you get the idea.

I know it's me just being paranoid, but really, it's something to think about.

How can they be sure they're only killing off the ones that vote against them though? No politician would ever kill off the portion of his constituency that actually supports him.

I doubt that democrats smoke more than republicans or vice versa.. it's probably pretty even. And plus, these aren't politicians, this would probably be controlled by a different agency, NSA, CIA, Area 51, etc.

If that was true the gov. would not let the anti drug commericals on the air. And they would make other drugs legal, also they woudnt let people release the facts about cigarettes and how they kill

nah not really, cigs are easy to manufacture and tax, u dont get anyone growin tobacco in their attics. other drugs besides can be easily grown/made on private properties, denying the govt many tax dollars.
theres anti cig facts cause scientists have been lookin into it for so long that the dangers of smokin are very well known to society, to the extent that anti smoking laws are bein made more harsh throughout the world (ireland,nyc,sweden,california,italy etc..) and to claim otherwise would cause public outrage.

I agree with that statment couse the goverment makes more money on people dying than living...remember guys once u die the goverment takes all of your belongings...house,car,BANK ACCOUNT etc.And even if u have a next of kin....DON'T FORGET "PROBATE COURT" NO MATTER WHAT ONCE U OR I OR ANYONE OF US DIES OUR LOVED ONES HAVE TO GO THROUE PROBATE COURT...AND IF U HAVE NO LOVED ONES THAN GUESS WHAT THE GOVERMENT TAKES EVERYTHING
