Growth during flowering.....quick question...
I'm growing outdoors in the northeast and am expecting preflowering to begin in the beginning to midway through august. My question is, I've been using LST to keep my babies low....around 1 foot tall. I've read mixed ideas about what happens during the flowering stage of growth. Does vertical growth cease when the flowering period hits? I read somewhere that there will be vertical growth for approx. 1 week during flowering and then it will just flower.... but i've also read numerous other places that the plant will gain 3X to 4X its size, is this in height or girth or what? Thanks for any helpful replies. I'm a newb to growing and want to make sure my plants go unnoticed through the entire growign period! Thanks!
Growth during flowering.....quick question...
What is LST? When flowering starts their will be a growth spurt and the throughout the weeks of flowering the plant will grow an extrea 30-50% in size. But the number of blades on the leaves will get less and less. I don't know why it does this, but I'm guessing the plant may do this to allow light to get to the lower branches. This is why a lot of cannabis strains end up haivng that cone, christmas tree shape. :)

Oh okay, I understand now. Yeah topping can stress them a bit.
