K guys/gals, i want to start growing and i was wondering if i planted a seed would a 150w cfl do?? if so would i need to get more lights or stronger cars at a later date??? Please help, any comments will be appriceated!! :rasta:

Well, CFLs are the flourescents...
They consume X number of Watts... but they are 'comparable' to Y number of Watts. I'm guessing your 150W CFL is something like 45W or something...
Anyway, yes... CFLs will grow your seed. There are a couple of people here that grow using CFLs... I would suggest (plus a couple of other people) that you use a MH (metal halide) bulb for vegetative growth of your little plant... and then HPS when you place it into floweing.

well my last thought was to stick 4x32watt (which equal 150w, normal bulb, i believe). But i only want to grow the one plant, so i thought these might do?? what do people think??
