resin production

I'm using my new centralized bubbler system. 5 buckets connected together to a reservoir. But in fact, it's not so good because only the water level is the same in the buckets, PH and EC can be very different in each one because of no water circulation. Right ! My problem is that the different plants are not growing in the same way. One is very dark green with a lot of trichs already ( less than 3 weeks of flo ) and another ( same strain ) is lighter green with bigger buds but without as much as resin as the previous one. What can affect resin production ? The phenotype, the EC, the PH. Knowing that the light, temp and CO2 concentration is the same.

Ph, & nutrient uptake availability are big factors. It sounds to me like you are doing a DWC type of grow. Using one control bucket for all your plants with no circulation will cause the affect you have described. Most people who are successful with DWC have one control bucket for each plant. Some have used 2 plants with one bucket but with mixed results. You may want to rethink your setup for your next run.

Thanks Zandor. For that grow i put a water pomp from one bucket to the rez and i change the water pomp from one bucket to another every week. So the difference between two AK plants can come from the difference of PH and food absorbtion by a matter of fact, and that would be all ? I can believe it. Next grow i change my actual set (pics coming soon ) up for an aeroponic system.

I see (I think) the problem you're describing with one rez being un-able to mantain equal levels in all buckets...

Why don't you...

Hook-up a water pump to your rez... then, divide that feed line into X number of hoses... You put one of those hoses per growing bucket...

When the water pump moves the water, it will throw a mix-effect into the overall bucket/rez system.

What do you think? hydro? Zandor?

I think that it might not work, due to the fact that maybe the nutes don't move throughout the system... I don't know... let us know... ;)

Yes, that's sure, i will make that, with mecanical engines such as water pomps, i just began to make it, but i just need the T 's to connect the hoses and make water sharing. The problem is that now it's difficult to reach the buckets in the back of the grow room because of the 'GREEEN'. But my next grow will be with gravity and a strong water pomp to spray the roots, aero in a word. Thank for the advice().

Don't forget to clean up the floor when they flood the room that way.

You need to use gravity and a pump. The pump drives the water to flood the bucket for say 15 on every hour or so. You have a second line at the top of the bucket to return the extra nutrients back the res so you don't flood the floor. When the timer is turned off and the pump stops the water from the buckets return through the feed line back to the res. You leave about 1/2 to 1 gallon each time in the bucket and use your air stones to oxygenate it and feed the roots as well. That is a type of ebb & grow system and closer to what you want.
