parent to offspring correlation

i was sitting here in a haze, and stumbled upon this hypothesis: a person whose parents smoked marijuana on a regular basis factors in with them being able to feel the effects of THC for the first time or not. conditionally, if the parent used marijuana on a regular basis, then the offspring will feel the effects of the thai on their first session.

does anybody already have something substantial to add to this, or am i just stoned and bullshit?
