WHEN TO CUT 'EM DOWN? I HAVE NO IDEA HOW OLD THSE ARE, TOO OLD I'M SURE.

ANYBODY TELL A COLOR BLIND MIDDLE AGED SOB, HOW TO TELL WHEN THESE ARE READY, I HAVE A HALF DOZEN COLA FLOWERS ABOUT READY, WHILE THE OTHER BREED IS JUST GROWING. SITES ARE FAR APART, BUT THEY JUST FINALLY BEGAN TO FLOWER. SEVERAL SITES, BUT DIFFERENT HEIGTH PLANTS. I WAS BURIED ALIVE, SO TOOK SOME OF THE STUNTED FLOWERS, AND PUT THEM BACK TO 24HRS. CAUSE THAT WAS THE ONLY PLACE I HAD ROOM. I TRIED BENDING THEM FOR ROOM, AND BROKE THREE. I'M GOING TO CEBU IN A MONTH OR SO, SO I'D LIKE TO FINISH THIS PAT BEST AS I CAN. PROBABLY STORE MY MOTHERS SOMEWHERE AROUND, AND CLEAN THIS PLACE UP REAL GOOD, FOR A FRESH START UPON MY RETURN NEXT YEAR. THANKS GUYS, DONNIE

You need a 30x pocket microscope to judge by the trichomes. Check the FAQ for the post on what to look for.

Hey Zandor, where can I get one of these microscopes? Could you also tell me what these trichomes are? I've heard of them, and I'll try to use the FAQ wso as not to bother you all the time. Thanks my friend! I hope this week is going better than last week. Later! Donnie

Trichomes are what everyone calls crystals. They are all over the flowers and small leaves around buds. You can get a hand held lighted microscope at radio shack for 10 bucks. In the faq's they show trichomes, they look like golf balls sitting on a tee. They start out clear and then turn cloudy and milky, then amber. When they are almost all cloudy, milky you harvest. A few maybe amber but there are thousands and you want an average over all. Before peak they are week after peak they are stoney but the buzz doesn't last as long. Sorry to but in but this is what I have learned from Zandor and the rest of the guru's here. Hope it helps. If I don't learn something new every day here then I smoked too much and been vegging.
