Outcome: Failure.
Why did we invade Iraq?
Because we were told they had WMD??s.
Actuality: Just as the weapons inspectors said, no WMD??s.

There is never a consolation to failure or being lied to. The ends never justify the means. All who say that ??well now they have a democracy? are just taking easy way out.
